UNIQUE EXPERIENCES TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY ON A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY

Just outside Paris, embark on a captivating journey through the ages at the Cité de l'Histoire. Explore the key events of our past through immersive technological shows and activities.

From 6 June 2024, immerse yourself in a special theme devoted to the Normandy landings, offering an enriching experience for all the family.

New technologies will be combined with French and world history through events such as the Immersive Journey on the History of France, the 360° Ellipse on a major historical event, and the Timeline on the History of Mankind, including a section dedicated to the Second World War.

You will also discover a special exhibition in partnership with World of Tanks, interactive workshops, reconstructions of Second World War scenes in LEGO® and COBI® bricks, and a new interactive space in collaboration with Quelle Histoire.

With the vision of Franck Ferrand, staging by Thierry Rétif and production by Amaclio Productions, a company renowned for its immersive historical shows, this promises to be a memorable experience for all history buffs, young and old alike.At the gates of Paris, go back in time and discover the most beautiful pages of the History of mankind within the Cité de l'Histoire. Thanks to technological and ultra-immersive shows and animations, children and adults relive the great events of the past, meet the emblematic figures of French history and experience new emotions!

360° ELLIPSE

D-Day

Experience a perfect immersion with an iconic historical figure.

The 360° video mapping on an old setting immerses the spectators in the life of a great character, halfway between cinema and immersive spectacle.

Within an arena, several times a day, there is a great visual and sound show written by Franck Ferrand.

Coming soon: "Au temps des Mousquetaires" on Saturday, October 21! This 360° video projection show offers you a totally immersive experience of a key moment in the human adventure.

In a huge elliptical arena, you choose your position to take full advantage of the show unfolding all around you. Thanks to videomapping, Amaclio's original technique, the images come to life before your very eyes.

D-DAY

This highly technical show aims to transport visitors to the heart of the action on 6 June 1944, offering an incomparable immersive and educational experience.

By combining archive images, sound and emotion, it recreates the intensity and dedication of those who fought for freedom.

– THE CORRIDOR OF TIME –

Follow the corridors of time and discover the secrets of humanity.

The highly visual timeline lets you discover 400 major dates in world history, including a wing devoted entirely to the Second World War.

In a freely wandering area, 26 touch-sensitive terminals are at your disposal, serving as the basis for an interactive projection full of surprises. Decide for yourself which dates and events spark your curiosity, and immerse yourself in the defining moments of human history. Our timeline, with its cutting-edge format and visual appeal, is designed to captivate young and old alike.

You can also put your knowledge to the test with our tablet quizzes, a great way to become a history expert!Travel the corridors of time and discover the secrets of humanity.

The giant, digital and interactive timeline allows visitors to discover 400 major dates in the history of the world. An open-access space with 26 touch terminals allowing to show on the wall the animated illustration of the selected date.

Extend the virtual reality journey

The virtual reality experience «Eternal Notre-Dame», already offered to visitors since January 2022, allows to discover the Cathedral of Paris through the centuries and according to different points of view (Nave, frame, towers, street, etc.) and this in a multi-formatfree-roaming user.

Set under the forecourt of Notre-Dame, the experience is also available next to the Cité de l'Histoire.

A specific ticket is required to complete this experience at the Cité de l'Histoire with a virtual reality tour.
